Luca Nicolosi (known as Pica-Pau, “woodpecker” in Portuguese) is an award-winning, Sicilian director, born in 1997. He wrote, directed and edited two short films which have been awarded Best Picture, Best International Short, Best Fantasy Short attracting national and international attention. One of which was a short film in collaboration with Makinarium, Italy’s biggest and most prestigious SFX/VFX film industry specialist.
At 22, Luca moved to Milan to test and transfer his cinematic vision and skills by working in the fashion and advertising Industries for clients such as Paco Rabanne, MaxMara, BVLGARI and Philipp Plein. He also worked outside the Italian territory, filming in Cannes, Lugano and Berlin. Currently based in Rome, Luca is always ready to push himself and offer clients his personal cinematic visual touch.
