GIACOMO PELLEGRINI
Giacomo is an Italian film director and screenwriter, born in Tuscany, Lucca.
He started working after high school for Oliviero Toscani in “La Sterpaia”. When he realized that he wanted more, he decided to move to Rome to study Filmmaking and Screenwriting at N.U.C.T. in Cinecittà, directing shortfilms. During the same time he began to collaborate with well-known film production as a PA first and then as a second assistant-director. He then moved to Brazil but still working in Italy too, where while directing few, music videos, fashion movies, documentaries and branded content video, he started working as a first assistant director for various International Film Productions. He also composed a series of photo and video expos in Rome, Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro. In 2015, his documentary “Ballan” was screened by Sky Italia and Sky UK on Bike Channel.
Since 2018, he’s been living in Milan and avaiable to work worlwide, currently is focusing on writing a screenplay for his first long feature film. Giacomo shows a quite distinctive style, bringings real emotions on the screen through the concept of an abstract and surrealistic atmosphere, inspired by the vision of master directors like Tarkovsky, Antonioni, Jarman, Angelopoulos and Truffaut. His cinematic background allows him also to work with different kind of character, creating strong, intuitive and creative messages.
